Record facts separately from guesses
Write what you saw, the apparent entry or leak location, and whether water was still present. Mark an unknown cause as unknown rather than filling a gap with a diagnosis.

Keep a single record of the work
Retain written scopes, estimates, receipts, moisture records, equipment dates and changes you authorized. Include the provider’s name and direct contact information.
